Inserting a Banner into your Web Page
|
A HTML code is a just a few lines of HTML, that when inserted into a web page, generates a banner image like the one at the top of this page. By inserting a HTML code into a web page, members generate free advertising credits for their account. Members can get HTML codes in Member Center (look for "Get HTML"). Here is an example of a HTML Code;
<!-- EXCHANGE-IT BANNER CODE VERSION 3.0 -->
<center>
<a href="http://www.exchange-it.com/click.go?ACCOUNT_NUMBER=1" target="_top"><img src="http://www.exchange-it.com/image.go?ACCOUNT_NUMBER=1" width=468 height=60 border=1 ALT="Click to Visit"></a>
</center>
<!-- END BANNER CODE VERSION 3.0 -->
|
The procedure for inserting the HTML code into a web page varies depending on the software you are using to generate your web pages. When you "Get HTML" in Member Center, you will need to select the software you are using to create your pages, then copy the provided HTML code into your web page HTML. The simplest way to add HTML to your page is to open your web page using a common text editor(Wordpad for example) and paste the code into your web page. It is important that the HTML code does not get modified by the software you are using to create your pages or banners may not display properly or generate credits for you. Please email us if you have problems.

Yes. In fact, you can place Exchange-it banners on each page of your web site, and your other web sites. However, you can only have 1 banner per web page.
